Turns out I picked the day of “The Flood of 2009,” also known as “The Flood of 100 Years” to drive to Atlanta.
I officially have been in every major disaster in Atlanta to date in the past 15 years (minus one), that I can think of. Believe me, I will discuss this in length when I’ve recovered from yesterday’s seven hour drive from Birmingham to Atlanta.
Usually, it’s just under a three hour drive, so use that as a frame of reference.
In the meantime, I am praying, praying, praying that the pieces of I-285 and I-20 (just precisely the pieces I need) are flood free by tomorrow morning.
They’re supposed to be. So Murphy’s Law, get off me.
